Over 2.5 million people see OOH in 7 days

Did you know that 2,543,000 people saw outdoor advertising in the last 7 days?*  And 1,074,000 see outdoor advertising at least once a day.*  

These are some of the latest figures from the Nielsen Outdoor Quarterly Review.

Key highlights show that:
  • 2,543,000 people have seen outdoor advertising in the last 7 days
  • 1,074,000 people have seen outdoor advertising at least once a day
  • 67% of AP10+
  • 2,112,000 people have seen outdoor advertising on an outdoor billboard in the last 7 days
  • 54% AP10+ recall seeing outdoor advertising on a bus shelter/stop over the past 7 days
  • 56% AP10+ recall seeing outdoor advertising on a bus over the past 7 days
  • An average of 35 minutes a day is spent travelling to/from work or study
  • 54% say that outdoor advertising influences their purchase decision (the highest of all media)
  • 40% AP10+ talk positively about ads they’ve seen on outdoor to family & friends (48% of 18-39 yrs, the highest of all media).

Out-of-home media reaches people when they ‘step outside’, because that is where people live their lives – whether it’s to head to work, go shopping or go out to meet friends at the pub.

In short, out-of-home advertising reaches people on the go.
