Out-of-Home advertising U.S style

For the first nine months of 2012 McDonald’s was the top OOH advertiser, with Verizon (telecoms), Chase (banking), FOX & NBC in the top spenders list, helping to position OOH as one of the fastest growing media in the US.  OOH advertising by BBC America grew spending by nearly 1000% this year.  As in New Zealand, OOH is a medium that other media use in the US as they recognise that value OOH can add to their media plan.

US OOH market size: US$6.2b in 2011, and recently reported OOH advertising revenue growth of 4.4% for the third quarter of 2012.
